Quite a few years ago I read a great book to the eldest 2, called "The Mysterious Benedict Society". About 2 years ago I read them the 2nd in the series, and this holiday we are reading "The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilema". These books are really well written and totally interesting mysteries! It's a tad beyond Madie, but we are really enjoying it! I love to have a great read aloud to link to a special memory - when Shaina was 6, I was weeks from delivering Madie, and we were vacationing in Kelowna, I read her 'Cricket in Times Square', and neither of us will ever forget it!
It's so much fun to speculate together on what we think will happen, what certain things could mean, etc...
