No, that's not dessert, those are the stuffed animals that Anika has aquired since leaving home!! This morning the girls and I let Scott sleep in. We 'snuck' out of the house, GPS in hand, the 3 youngest jumped on their bikes and scooters, and we headed on the quest for coffee. Turns out there's a Starbucks .7 of a mile from the condo!
We had a great walk, it was already hot enough to just head out in our shorts and t-shirts! Anika has a funny new habit of everytime someone says "school bus!" she says "ha - SUCKERS!"....ahem.
After our walk we headed out to Toys R Us, as some of the girls had money burning holes in their pockets. Next to toys R us was "Party City" --- now that is a store to end all stores - haha. I would SO love to live near one when the kids birthdays are around the corner!! Rows and rows of great party stuff! We picked up a bit of easter stuff, the girls were almost lost in the array of candies (15 for 1.00), and the little toys for cents! Of course we are all bunny crazy, so easter bunny stuff always calls our names! (well, not Scott's obviously... this store was among thrift stores, kids museums and libraries for him...) We also picked up mini cookie cutters for .50 and sprinkles for our new cake pop obsession are totally cheap here.
We ate at Carls Jr. for lunch, but no one was impressed. Scott and I tried their new healthy(er) turkey burgers - they were just okay. We came home for swimming, Madie got sick - the pool was cloudy, there was a wasp in the air - so we ended up back at the Condo until supper time when Scott BBQed supper. I opened a can of beans, tossed a salad, boiled some cute baby potatoes for him to throw on the grill with the meat... and started praying that no one else will get sick!!!!
